Clarins/No Body's Perfect Campaign

Clarins latest campaign is one I am loving, being a woman in today's society comes with so much added pressure, what ever happened to just loving the skin your in?

Clarins 'No Body's Perfect' campaign is encouraging us all to 'Love The Body You Have' whilst we all have our body hang ups and flaws why not try focusing on the bits you like, you are all beautiful and more often that not it's the negativity and our bad attitudes towards ourselves that only amplify the bits we loathe.

We spend time caring for our faces with a skincare regime, but why do we forget our bodies?

Everybody's different, or rather Every Body is different and Clarins want to remind us all that it's OK not to be perfect. Gym Bunnies, busy Mum's, the workaholics, all of you can spare yourself 5 minutes a day to pamper and indulge, and with the fabulous range of body concern products that Clarins have to offer you may even feel that it's 5 minutes well spent if you are targeting one of your body hang up's. In a way that only Clarins can they mange to blend cutting edge science with the most luxurious skincare products, you will feel the luxury when you use them.
Cellulite? Ageing? Dry Skin? Loose Skin?
Whatever your concern there is something for you.
The body range products include:
Exfoliating Body Scrub, Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate, Renew Plus Body Serum, Extra Firming Body Lotion & Body Lift Cellulite Control. Prices start from just £19.

Head to any Clarins counter until the 28th of March and you'll receive a Body Scrub & Bath and Shower Tonic with any other body care purchase, that's a free treat for you worth £24.

Those of you who've followed my weight loss journey will have seen my 4 stone weight loss, as I've done it gradually and gone to the gym I've managed to avoid any loose skin, but I still have area's that I would love to be firmer especially with all the working out I do, even I get a little disheartened when things aren't as toned or tight as I'd like them to be.

I'm currently reviewing the Extra Firming Body Lotion £41* which is perfect for tightening and toning, and actually encourages the production of Emillin-1, which actually makes the collagen and elastic fibres link together in the skin. Genius. The smell is really nice, a slight fruity hint and the cream is lovely and thick, yet it melts in beautifully.

I am going to give this a go for 4 weeks and see if it combats my body hang up, I'll be sure to come back here and give you an update.

Shop the entire range, and receive your free products if you shop on line at Clarins.com

I'd love for you all to get involved over on Twitter using the hash tag #nobodysperfect, and of course tweet @clarins_uk with your purchases.

L.A Girl/Pro Conceal HD Concealer

I'd really like to try more of the USA's cosmetic offerings so I was over the moon to be offered the chance to try out these fab concealers by L.A Girl*.

Since I started blogging over 3 years ago I've been on the quest for my ultimate under eye covering concealer, that's my area of concern and I've never found a product that combats them totally, until now.

Yes ladies this is it, the one you need to get excited about, this is my new holy grail of concealers, and I have sourced a seller here in the UK that you can buy through for under £6!

The concealer is a lovely creamy texture, meaning the coverage is buildable and the best thing, it doesn't crease in fine lines so it's really great around the eyes. I use a brush to pat mine in around the eye areas and down onto my cheeks to give the eye are a lovely brightness.

The opaque formula means it's not to thick yet it still provides very impressive coverage. It's a gel like formula that dries to a matte finish, if you've ever used the MAC Pro Studio concealer a lot of people compare these to each other, although the MAC one is way more liquid in consistency and for me did nothing but emphasise the lines.

The packaging is a great idea, for application anyway, I am not so keen on it for blending, as you'll see in these pictures I use it to apply the product then blending out I use my trust Real Techniques Concealer Brush to pat it out.

I always worry about the cleanliness of using these kind of applicators so i regularly clean the brush with my antiseptic brush cleaner to keep any nasties at bay.

I've been using these shades:

Natural which is a pale beige shade with a yellow undertone, this blends perfect with my natural skin tone.
Creamy Beige which is a pale neutral beige tone, perfect for use when I'm wearing fake tan.

If you love to contour with cream products then the colour range on offer is fantastic, I'm certainly going to look to invest in a few more colours as the small brush makes application on the contouring areas perfect. No matter what colour your undertones are they have you covered, warm, cool, pink beige and even neutral the price makes these even more of a welcome addition to any girls make up collection.

The staying power is very impressive too, it easy holds up for a good 8-10 hours on me and I don't reapply during the day, I do set mine with a smidge of my beloved Ben Nye Banana Powder to lock it in place.

Cruelty free formula. Shop the range through Beauty_B Cosmetics right HERE at £5.49 per tube and free postage you'd be crazy not to try these out.

I am hoping I'll be able to do an international beauty swap soon, I'd love to try some of the other cult USA products.

Maybelline/Lash Sensational Mascara

When a brand constantly launches new products it does make me question how good the previous offering must have been, but I've been proven wrong this time and I've found a mascara that's actually pretty good for a high street brand at under £10.

Since I got this I've been using it everyday, it holds up from 6.30am until 6.45pm without flaking, smudging or budging.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara* (bit of a mouth full) is the latest addition to the mascara range by Maybelline cosmetics.

The brush is almost a good dupe of the latest release from a more luxury brand, just a bit bigger. The colour pay off is really good, a real black colour and that doesn't dull as the day goes on.
The brush design catches every single hair with it's 10 layer bristles, and the liquid ink formula lifts, curls and coats every lash. It gives great volume without the worry of clumps. And it layers nicely too.

This is my lashes with just one coat on them....
Removal is so easy to it just melts off with an eye make up remover, I am really impressed with this as a day to day product, give it a go if your in the market for a new mascara.

It's on sale in Boots and Superdrug nationwide and is currently on a promotional offer of just £7.99 as part of a 3 for 2 offer or buy one get one half price.

Michelle Keegan Loves Lipsy/Summer Collection 2015

Michelle Keegan has teamed up with Lipsy for the launch of her latest summer collection, her third to be precise. I think Michelle is really appealing to girls and women worldwide and has become a bit of a national sweetheart, she has the most enviable figure and those legs go on forever, whilst I can promise you'll channel Miss Keegan your sure to look fab in her latest offerings.

These have all launched today and you can shop all the pieces by heading over to the  Lipsy Website

There are vibes of everything Michelle loves in this collection, from lace to Ibiza themed beaded two pieces, long floaty evening gowns (the black one is just gorgeous) Chic day wear, smart peplums and delicate girly touches.

This range is split into 2, the Holiday Collection and the Main Collection, the main features all your chic and elegant pieces and the holiday all things cover up, crochet and bright!

If your going abroad this year then the play suits would be perfect for evenings and for pulling over your bikini. I am loving this collection, her best to date, if you need a summer wedding outfit or special occasion look no further.

NYX/Summer Love Lipstick

I'm really enjoying NYX cosmetics at the moment, the second product I've been reviewing is this lipstick in the shade 'Summer Love'

Its gorgeous!
A beige, mauve under toned Nude, its quite similar to MAC's Hue but less pinky, and a third of the price which is always good.
I do find you need to have super smooth lips to wear this if you have drier patches, exfoliate first, however the wear time of around three hours is very impressive for a £4 lippie.
It's a nice neutral shade and it has a hint of sparkle in the bullet although this doesn't appear obvious on the lips. It doesn't really have a smell to it and glides on really nicely. It holds up against eating and drinking really well and I'd definitely look to invest in more shades for my collection.

NYX/Butter Gloss

NYX Butter Gloss Product Shot
NYX is an affordable cosmetics brand that originates from across the pond in LA, we are lucky enough to be able to get our hands on their products here in the UK and bloggers & MUA's love their products.

I've been reviewing a couple of lip products lately, the first one is the cult Butter Gloss.
This is the Creme Brulee shade of the Butter Gloss range and I am loving it, it's very similar in texture and feel on the lips to a high end beauty gloss I've been using a lot recently, yet at a quarter of the price this could be a prefect dupe. The glosses add a hint of colour and have great pay off, the colour selection is so great I'm sure there will be one that will catch your eye.
There are 12 shades of Butter Gloss, they have a yummy sweet smell and aren't sticky at all, they glide on the lips and have a buttery texture. The staying power is around an hour at most but for a day to day gloss or to layer over your fave lippy these are perfect and so affordable at just £5 each, shop the range here: NYX Online

Real Techniques/Sculpting & Concealer Brushes

I know not all of you have given into the Bold Metals range that Real Techniques recently launched, and I am really pleased to see that they are continuing to add to the line of originals.
Meet the newest arrivals.....

The Real Techniques Sculpting Brush £9.99 & The Real Techniques Concealer Brush £7.99 the body of the brushes are colour coded as your used to with the originals, the sculpting brush is part of the finishing collection, and the concealer brush is part of the base collection.

As with all the Real Techniques brushes the bristles are cruelty free and made from super soft taklon.

The Concealer Brush is perfectly shaped to fit in around the narrows of the nose, under the eyes and around the eyes, although I have to say the shiny coating on the bristles make it a little difficult to blend with, a bit of a disappointment really but it has good product pick up, you may want to reach for a softer brush for the blending.
You could use this as a highlighting brush as it would pick out the details of the face beautifully. If you've tried the original foundation brush its a miniature version of that, the shape is exactly the same so the bristles are angled for ease of use.

The Real Techniques Sculpting Brush is a great starter if you are new to contouring, the brush is a perfectly formed oval shape and the bristles are so dense, super soft and fluffy.
This brush blends beautifully and the product pick up is great. You could use this with powder or cream formula products and build up the intensity. I'm really impressed with how versatile this brush is.
Of the two I'd have to say I prefer the sculpting brush, although a good product the concealer one is just let down slightly on blend-ability.As with all the RT brushes they wash and dry beautifully and they come up looking like new. I use a baby shampoo on mine to wash them and do this once a week to keep bacteria at bay.
