Avon/Colour Correcting Pearls

I was really excited to see these, Avon's first ever release of colour correcting pearls, a dupe of the cult, yet very expensive Guerlain Meteorites which retail at around £40, so these really are affordable for anyone on a budget. In sleek packaging the little candy shaped balls are very intriguing. 

The pearls are designed to combat all skin concerns and really merge your make up together, lets run through the different shades and the effect they give:

Green Pearl: To Neutralise Redness
Purple Pearl:To Counteract Yellowness
Peach Pearl: Evens Out Dark Spots
White Pearl: To Highlight & Illuminate
Yellow Pearl: Brightens & Neutralises Purple Tones & Under Eye Circles

The pearls arent all shimmery which is great, for me the only ones that need to be shimmery are the light relefcting/highlighting ones as thats the effect needed to give the results they promise.

They are applied by sweeping a fluffy face brush over the pearls so you pick up a good amount of product, I've been buffing mine over the face in a circular motion using my Real Techniques Duo Fiber Face Brush.

Sweep over your entire face once you've finished your make up for the best effect.

Avon/SuperExtend Liquid Eyeliner

I've been reviewing a few items from Avon lately and I have to say if your looking for beauty on a budget then Avon is worth a look. 

I've fallen in love with this SuperExtend Liquid Eyeliner, which isn't actually liquid at all, little bit deceiving by the name I know but I am really liking this. The tip is a felt tip nib, just like a felt tip pen, it allows for precise thing lines to be drawn across the lash line by using the tip or you can turn it on the side slightly and get bolder thicker lines.

The formula is really impressive and it stays put all day, I have slightly hooded eyelids and I don't find it transfers or smudges. I've been putting it through it's paces and applying it at 6.30am and taking it off around 12 hours later. 

The pen is make up bag friendly and has a secure cap that clicks on to prevent the nib from drying out. This is foolproof and is easily correctable so might be a great product to pick up if your just starting to brave the winged liner or cat eye effect.

Avon Mega Effects Mascara

If like me, a gal on the quest for long lashes, you always get excited at the promise of a lengthening, volumising mascara then you'll also be curious to see this revolutionary new panoramic brush from Avon. 

This really is something new, I've never seen anything like it before. You'll either look at the brush and think its scary or like me you'll be so keen to try it out. For me I really like it, I love how close you can get to the lash line, giving a real eyeliner effect without using eyeliner, it's fab! 

My mascara is is the shade 'darkest black' its also on sale in brown too. It's sweat and flake proof, and doesn't smudge, so it's great for office to evening, and your lashes really do hold up all day. The brush takes a little getting used to but once you have it'll feel weird going back to the traditional wand. 

The mascara is contained in a little pot that the brush sits into, It's a really neat design, and is really small considering! 

Lovely and dark I think the mascara is really good at defining and separating my lashes, if you have naturally curly lashes your on to a winner with this stuff! The 'wonderbrush' really grabs each lash with precision, leaving nothing undefined. Here you can see my before and after with my lashes closed, and the eyes open with the mascara applied to both eyes. 

The brush handle adjusts into 4 different positions making it really easy to comb through the lashes. 

The brush head is a real dupe of the old chanel mascara, you know the one, the brushes and the balls on the end of each spike, meaning maximum product load to your lashes, with a great combing effect to prevent clumps. 

My only criticism is that I think the brush handle could be longer, just because I think those people with larger hands and longer fingers may struggle to use this. 

Mega Effects will retail at £10, which I think is maybe a little expensive, 

but this is different and I'm sure your just dying to test it out!
