Bye Bye Dermaroller....Hello Mycrolator!

You'll have no doubt heard about derma rolling, and most of you will associate it with celebrities thus meaning its expensive.

Well with this fab little kit from Black Et Blanc* you can now bring the derma roller into the comfort of your own home, for under £100!

The packaging is classy and simple, I really like it when products keep the packaging subtle, almost letting the product speak for itself.

The MYCROLATOR® Skin Prep method uses a small device, containing 16 tiny 0.2mm medical grade stainless steel microneedles. It comes packed in a sterile wrapper.

When this is gently applied to the face it causes mild disruption of the dead cells on the skin leading to the creation of 'micro-pockets' or 'micro-reservoirs' of oil after the oil is applied to the skin.
This leads to significantly increased absorption of the oil serums into the skin, thus enhancing the natural beneficial effects of the oil serums.

The MYCROLATOR® Skin Prep contains certified Class 1 Medical Device medical grade stainless steel micro-projection strips. The first of its kind, it is made in the UK specifically for facial use by both men and women, to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, small scarring and blemishes.

You can see from these pictures that the super fine needles pressed into the plastic handle are so easy and comfortable to use, I hate needles and was worried this treatment may feel uncomfortable or hurt, but it tingles, in a good way!

The system offers 5 different types of refined facial oil, depending on what your skin concern is, you can choose from the following oils, which are all in 3ml doses to ensure the best level of treatment and results for your skin....

Oil 1 - Mature Skin: To enhance, glow and hydrate.
Oil 2 - Dry Skin: To maintain high moisture levels.
Oil 3 - Blemished Skin: Reduces small scars and acne marks.
Oil 4 - Sensitive Skin: Soothes easily irritated skin.
Oil 5 - Antioxidant Care: General use to keep skin healthy.

I have been using the blemished skin oil, as pores, oil and the occasional spot are the things that trouble me the most.

I have been trialing this nifty bit of kit for a good month now and the results I have experienced so far I have to say I am really impressed with. I was so concerned that the refined oils included in the kit were going to clog my pores and make me feel over oily, in fact I couldn't be more wrong. The kit comes with a really clear and simple booklet on how to use your system and I can honestly it's foolproof!

They absorb beautifully into the skin, and my face feels a lot smoother and tighter, and my pores have definitely started to shrink.

Magnetic Lash Mascara & *Giveaway*

 http://www.samsbeautyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/121-Magnetic-Lashes.jpg

Magnetic Lash is a newly launched 1-2-1 Lash Extension System by London based company Santhilea, this is what they have to say in their own words on this fab mascara.....

"We commit to using honest marketing because we understand that modern women are ready for a change and don't need any more clutter in their makeup kits. Our photography does not use false lash enhancement or digital alteration. Our fabulous products do what they say on the lovely tin"

Us women are always on the hunt for that perfect mascara that actually delivers results, this stuff has been heavily featured in the press & by celebs so it is always exciting to be offered the chance to review an exciting product, especially if it works.

I would not like to spend the £24.99 RRP on this stuff if it didn't actually work, so here are my thoughts....

One big selling point for me is the fact that the lashes in the advert for Magnetic Lash are not enhanced, as you have probably noticed in every mascara advert there will somewhere be a statement in tiny print saying that the lashes are enhanced or shot with lash inserts for an even lash line.

Here is Magnetic Lash Mascara's Advert...

Magnetic lash - extension mascara

This instantly excited me & I couldn't wait to test the product.
I am a die hard fan of falsies and wear them on every night out, without fail. I would love to fond a mascara that deliveries similar results but on my own natural lashes.

I have reviewed several of these extension system mascaras before, but there is one difference with this one, the fibres in the extension tube... they are made of velvet fibres, so they are super soft and they are BLACK! No more trying to hide those pesky white fibres under your mascara.
Magnetic Lash also contains 'blue and violet pigment to give your lashes a gorgeous 'Black Velvet' sheen.

Magnetic Lash contains lash growth goodness Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to nourish and condition. Magnetic Lash is not oil based, so doesn’t come off on oily skin. This means it lasts longer and is suitable for even the most active women. It doesn’t stain glasses or skin, until you are ready to remove it at the end of the day.
I have so many compliments when wearing this mascara, even my other half's mum
(who is the glammest over 60 year old I have ever known by the way) said.....
'Oh Emma what have you put on your eyelashes to get them so long and thick'

This really does give a false lash look and not a falsie in sight when wearing it!

I have now ditched the false lashes for good, although I wouldn't use my Magnetic Lash day to day, as it's far to glam for work, it's perfect for special occasions and nights out.

It has been heavily featured in the glossies & is loved by celebs already, this mascara really does do it for me!

Nivea Express Hydration Primer

I remember seeing Nivea in my Nan's bathroom as a young girl, and never really given it much of a thought, a brand thats been around as long as I can remember, people do swear by Nivea but I have always passed it by. Recently though they have launched a product that has taken the beauty world by storm, it's everywhere!
If you still are none the wiser (where the heck have you been?!) let me introduce you to the
 Nivea Express Hydration Primer....

One thing I would like to point out...don't be fooled by the size of the box, the product is just 50ml in size, but at just £4.99 its a total barg.

I am a usually a Benefit Porefessional gal, but at almost £25 for just 30ml of the product this stuff really is a steal at under £5, this is a must have for beauty on a budget.

Available in 2 varieties
'Normal & Combination Skin' and 'Dry & Sensitive Skin', there will be something to suit your skin type, I picked up the normal/combo skin version as I do tend to get a little oily during the day.

Foil sealed so you know it's totally fresh and clean until you open it, being a little obsessive about germs I love that its so securely sealed. The screw top means you wont have any spillages on the move either.

I know some of you don't like scented products, and this stuff does have a fruity smell to it, reminds me of melon, and I love the feeling of it on my face.
It's texture is really thick & creamy, and as it states on the box it's 'effective hydrators' mean that the primer literally melts into your skin in seconds. It leaves your skin feeling super soft and minimises pores, giving you the perfect base for make up.

A little goes a long way this amount covered my whole face, and neck, I will update you all as to how long this lasts as I will be using it everyday. I have been testing this out on a typical day at work, so applying it at 6.30am and removing at around 7pm, so it lasts a good 12 hours, it even makes your eyeshadow stay put as I dabbed a little on my lids too.Really grips on to your foundation and stops it slipping during the day, I do have a tendency to be a little oily and found while wearing this I don't need to top up on powder during the day.

This little pot of primer goodness is currently on offer in Superdrug for just £3.99, so go stock up, I promise you wont regret it.

Seems good old Nivea really pulled it out the bag with this stuff, It's going to be a firm fave in my beauty regime.

Stay gorgeous dolls!

Love
