Kylie Lip Kit/Metal Matte 'Heir'

I was super excited to bag one of Kylie's Metal Matte Lipkits on the first release, shes really smashing the beauty world at the minute, and the hype for her coveted lip kits doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.

The new Metals collection consists of three shades:
King, Reign & Heir, all very regal in the naming, so how do they compare to the original matte releases?
They are just as pigmented, and they still dry matte, they bring a hint of shimmer to the lips though, I have been layering my Heir over Koko K and people always ask what I'm wearing on my lips.

Heir is a beautiful rose gold hue with gold shimmer running through it.
This image shows Heir in sunlight on the left and in sunlight in the right.

They have the same sweet vanilla cake smell and the packaging matches all the other mattes. I may say the staying power isn't quite as long as the solid mattes but it's still worth the money.

In addition to her glosses, mattes and metals Kylie promises us she will keep the beauty range coming, I'm super excited for what shes going to do next.

Check out the release video for her glosses, I'm hooked on the tune & her crochet outfit, she's a total babe.

Kylie Lip Kit/Koko K & 22

Since booking our vacay to NYC later this year I have been taking a huge interest in all things American.

You cant help but notice them, and I've joined the Jenner/Kardashian fan club, the hype for Kylie's Lipkits is literally sweeping the beauty world by storm.

Getting hold of these kits is difficult, but not impossible, unless you pay a monthly subscription to the Kylie app then you'll have to rely on other sources for your release time and date information, for me I hunted down a lipkit update account on Instagram and made sure my post notifications were switched on.

This release was the one that struck gold for me took place on Monday the 7th of March was scheduled at 12 noon PST, or to us here in the UK 8pm, so I was poised and ready to jump onto her online store and place my order.

These things sell like hotcakes and sold out in just 12 minutes on the latest release. There are a few things you can do to ensure you get to checkout as fast as possible, auto fill, ensure your billing and shopping address match are valuable time savers! I will also be posting on my Instagram news on any future releases so you can have the chance to own one of these coveted kits.

I had my eye on the brand new shade '22' and the best seller and one of the original shades 'Koko K'
22 is a vibrant, burnt orange colour, if you like tangerine, coral shades then you'll love this one, I had my eye on this for my new found love of the shade khaki, what a combo for summer ;)

Koko K is a pale pinky nude, although I'd say on me it's almost a mauve-nude shade, I love it though, and it's nice enough to get away with everyday.

The colours and swatches you'll find online at the Kylie Cosmetics site are quite deceiving and I'd say they all look a little brighter online than they actually are, so something to bear in mind if you are buying them. I've taken pictures in natural daylight and with a flash so you can see the difference.
If you've ever ordered from the US you'll know the wait is agonising, especially when your waiting on the hottest lip product to arrive, it felt like a year, and then they arrived....
The detail that's gone into the packaging and the little note you get in the box is just gorgeous, Kylie has put a lot into designing her coveted and debut product, and people are going crazy for the lip kits.

The smell of the lipkits, delicious!
I love sweet smells, and these are total vanilla cupcake mix, yummy. You'll smell it a little when you apply it, and it does linger a little, but it soon dries and goes away.

The lip liners are super smooth, and so pigmented, I'd say the colour pay off is even better than a higher end brand, the pencils look like they twist up, but they are regular pencils that can be sharpened with your make up sharpener.
I apply my liner first, then my liquid lipstick, personally I've found any more than one layer and you'll get flaking and rub off, one coat is all you need to achieve perfect Kylie-esque lips.

The liquid lipstick means application is foolproof, and this stuff doesn't budge, it seems to just melt off the lips, without drying of leaving flakes it bits behind on your mouth, something I've definitely experienced with some other brands of matte lipstick.

She's got this formula so right!

The swatches on my hand in the pictures below are taken in natural daylight on the top image and the bottom image have been taken with a flash.

Koko K

22

Each kit retails at $29 which equates to around £19, for a lip liner and a liquid lipstick that's amazing value for money, shipping works out to around £10 and customs may catch you out which could add another £12 on to your final cost, but even so to own one of these It's safe to say a beauty crazed chick would give her right arm LOL.

Kylie has promised great things for her beauty line this year, I'll be sure to hunt down the products for review as soon as I can, shes just launched a gloss range but they don't appeal to me, glosses have been done by so many celebs, her matte lip kit's really have brought something that has real staying power to the beauty market.

She's just launched her eighth shade to her matte lipstick collection, save her website to your fave's your going to be hooked....Kylie Cosmetics

Which shades have you got your eye on?

Thierry Mugler/Angel Eau Sucree Limited Edition 2015

Thierry Mugler have just launched their second version of this delicious, limited edition offering of the cult classic, iconic Angel fragrance, I've been reviewing this over the past week* and I'm head over heels for this stunning scent.

If you love sweet, berry fragrances, this is going to be a must have for you too. The smell is a wonderful blend of red berries, sorbet, caramel, and meringue. It reminds me of candy floss and I've had so many compliments on it.

For an EDT it has pretty impressive staying power, I'd say 4-6 hours on me which is really good.

The bottle has been given a light dusting of sugar around the edges, and the box is a beautiful pastel design, of a pick n mix candy bag.

This is only going to be around for a limited time so if you love it then grab it while you can, it's prefect for day or night times as the sweet notes help keep it light, perfect for this timke of year.

Head over to the Thierry Mugler Website to shop the frangrance now, it retails at £45 for a 50ml bottle.

Nothing has changed with the perfume itself its exactly the same as last two exotic releases.

If you haven't smelt this yet and you love sweet and fruity perfumes then give it a go, it has real staying power too. Blackcurrant sorbet, pink grapefruit, tiger orchid, passion fruit and raspberries are all packed in to this yummy scent.

The bottle is the same design as the iconic fragrance and this is only available in a 60ml size at around £45. As with every release this one is limited edition, so if you like this colour grab it while you can.

Clarins/Aquatic Treasures Summer Collection 2015

Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Collection* is this years beautiful summer range from Clarins, I always get so excited with the release and this one hasn't disappointed me.

The Aquatic Treasures encapsulates the ocean and it's beauty, the collection offers rich gold and bronze tones, to replicate the golden sands. Iridescent shades as the pearls of the ocean and a splash of glimmering grey to represent the ocean sparkling in the sunlight. I love how all these textures and colours come together to give you a warm healthy and glowing summer complexion.

I've been enjoying a few products from the range, lets start with the
After Sun Shimmer Oil £32
A beautiful lightweight shimmering oil that melts into the skin, this is packed with tiny golden flecks that sit beautifully on the skin and enhance your golden glow without any heavy oily texture.

You can also smooth this through your hair so It's a real all rounder, and a must have for your holiday packing this summer.

It's a very clever product this one, as its packed with Vitamin E & Hazelnut Oil to add some well needed moisture back into your skin following sun exposure, yet the shimmering oil enhances your tan, this can be used all over the body. It oozes summer with the notes of Mandarin, Grapefruit, Tonka Bean, and Ylang Ylang.

As you'd expect it's packaged in a lovely glass bottle, with a screw lid and the top has a dropper in it, which is great as I've had so many incidents with too much oil coming out in one go in products I've had before.

Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base* £26
Perfect for the summer months, I think we all like to reach for the lighter less coverage products at this time of year and the complexion base which is available in 2 shades will allow you to do just that.

The tube has a pump dispenser and as you'll see from this picture of pump is more than enough to cover your whole face.
You can wear it alone or mixed with your regular foundation to give your complexion a boost and help to blur imperfections. It's available in Apricot which gives a nice dewy finish or Golden Bronze for the ultimate summer skin.

It's packed with Clarins Anti Pollution Complex to help protect the skin all day. I like this as a base. make up sits really well on top of it and lasts all day long.

Aquatic Treasures Limited Edition Bronzing Compact* £30
Is the showstopper of this range in my opinion, it features a beautiful marine inspired motif that's actually embossed into the powder. The compact boasts 4 shades, from beige to terracotta and they are all matte (yey) so many bronzers are sparkly and shiny so I love a palette that's matte.

Clarins always do such a good job of making their make up suitable for all skin types and this will compliment anyone.

Fix Make Up* £22
Is a must have for the summer, I love keeping mine in the fridge for a cold spritz it's lovely. This is infused with rose which gives it a delicate floral smell, the grapefruit and vitamin c both help keep the skin soft and moisturised whilst ensuring your make up stays in place all day. I recently ran a half marathon with this over my BB cream and I'm pleased to report it kept everything in place.

The summer collection also offers some beautiful additions to their Ombre Shadow Collection, and these are on my wish list, as well as waterproof mascara & liner, this collection is your Summer make up bag so head to your local Clarins counter nationwide, or head over to Clarins Website this collection launches next month.

Jo Malone/Lace Bottle Collection

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jo Malone, and as a newly engaged lady these do excite me, what a lovely idea for a wedding gift or for the upcoming summer weddings.

I will be wearing Jo Malone on my wedding day that's for sure, timeless and elegant and of course quintessentially British.
These beautiful lace design bottles launch in May this year and there are three different lace designs to choose from and the workmanship that goes in to them makes them a real piece of art, as all the detail is hand etched into the glass.

This collection will offer 10 of the brands best selling fragrances:

English Pear & Freesia, Lime Basil & Mandarin, Nectarine Blossom & Honey, Wild Bluebell, Pomegranate Noir, Velvet Rose & Oud and Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, Peony & Suede Blush, Orange Blossom, Red Roses.

At £86/100ml It's quite a splurge but if it's a gift or for your big day then it's something you could keep forever even when the perfume has gone, and how nice would the Wild Bluebell be for a bride's something blue?

Lush/Will You Be My Valentine?

Lush never fail to disappoint with their selections of seasonal goodies, this time around it's Valentines.
The Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar being top of my list, along with the Prince Charming shower gel, but there are some beautiful things on offer. If your stuck on how to spoil your Valentine or you just want to spoil yourself these always make perfect gifts.

I have reviewed the 'In Your Dreams' gift set as it was the only way of getting my hands on the Unicorn Horn bubble bar, the box also included the 'Granny Takes A Dip' bath bomb which my other half kindly sampled.

I love anything unicorn related, so I was super excited to try this out, the masses of thick creamy bubbles were amazing to soak in.The Unicorn Bubble Bar is a gorgeous mix of neroli and lavender with the cutest little stars all pressed into it and a dusting of pearly sparkle, unicorn style!

Granny Takes A Dip Bath Bomb is a gorgeous blend of ginger, pepper and lemon, it's a real refreshing fizz and it turns truly psychedelic in the water....

The Prince Charming Shower Gel is a sweet mix of pink goodness, marshmallow, vanilla and pomegranate to be exact, and it's my new fave, second to my beloved Snow Fairy of course. I adore this shower gel and as you'd expect it lathers up beautifully.

There are loads of lovely things on offer including Love Locket which once cracked open has a smaller heart inside which leaves hearts in your bath water! The Kiss lip scrib and lip balm will ensure you have the perfect pout this Valentines Day.

What have you got your heart set on?
