The London Edit/EdSheeran Shopping & Sightseeing

My Instagram followers will know I went to London last weekend after my better half surprised me with tickets to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley Stadium.

I had the best time, as I always do when visiting my fave city ever.

We travelled up on the Thursday, despite the train strikes we had no problems getting there. When we arrived the tubes were on strike, meaning we had a couple of hours to walk before we arrived at the hotel. Via Oxford Street this was no problem as it meant I was able to make some purchases en route.

We stayed at the Hilton Tower Bridge meaning we had the Shard to look out from our window and the stunning Tower Bridge out the back, it's a lovely area and full of historic landmarks and things to do.
St Paul's Cathedral was beautiful, I've never seen it before despite all the times we've visited London so it was wonderful to see it , and of course just round the corner is the Paternoster Chophouse which you'll be more familiar with from the hit TV show First Dates.

We had a cocktail each in there, i opted for the First Dates Cocktail, and my other half had a Summer Cup.
Friday Night was the one we had been waiting for, Ed Sheeran at Wembley Stadium. I was blown away by the size of the place, what a great atmosphere. Ed was on stage for 2 hours straight and was joined half way through by musical legend Elton John, the place went crazy when Ed announced he was joining him. Ed is absolutely amazing live, pure talent. If you get the chance to go and see him, do it!
Saturday was shopping time, so we headed out to Knightsbridge and then to Covent Garden, lots of yummy food and of course Pimms on the Southbank made for a perfect day. I did buy a few things, and had a cheeky trip to Space NK which I'll be featuring in another post shortly.
I have found my next pair of Louboutins, they are on my wish list! At around £700 they are mega money so think i'll save a bit longer before splurging on them.
Cocktails up the OXO tower.....
Another fab weekend away in my fave city, I love this place and cant wait to go back again already!

Victorias Secret Fashion Show/London 2014

I look forward to this every December and this year I'm extra excited, following the Victoria's Secret stores opening here in the UK they are bringing the iconic show to Earls Court, London. Meaning it's being held outside of America for only the second time ever, could this be the start of things to come?

As soon as I heard the news I was scouring the internet for a ticket, if you've ever watched the show you'll understand you have to be a 'somebody' to get in to the event, or at least have lots of money, and at just under £10.000 a ticket it's safe to say I wont be going.

If you've never seen the show before you'll be in for a real treat, each year is themed and the outfits are out of this world and generally the longest standing angels have the biggest wings on the runway or they wear the most expensive things, this year being no exception as we are set to see Adriana Lima &Alessandro Ambrosia strutting down the catwalk in the $2 million Dream Angels Fantasy Bra, not one but two of them have been created and they're said to showcase VS over the years.

I've included the full show from last year, if you haven't watched it do so now, you will see why I look forward to it every year!

I've managed to get my hands on a sneak peek of this years costumes, the show opening in true style of 'Gilded Angels' featuring the models adorned in gold.

Exotic Traveller is bound to be a beautiful one, I can imagine bright fabrics and lots of jewels for this one!

Angel Ball is rumoured to be a glamorous take on the famous Tux, adding the eye masks adds a real touch of feminine glamour.

Fairy Tale is probably the one I'm most excited about, I know the outfit in this sketch has been given ALOT of added sparkle by Swarovski, and I cant wait to see this one, it's being worn by British model Lily Donaldson and features 150.000 crystals.

Dream Girl channels a cute pom pom filled feminine look that comes straight from the boudoir!

University Of Pink this is always one of my fave sections in the show it's always fun, colourful, and playful and it's full of the VS PINK goodies.

The show includes live performances as the models work the runway and this year Taylor Swift returns for a second time, the lovely Ed Sheeran, The Hoozier and Ariana Grande.

Needless to say I cannot wait to watch, if you cant get CBS at home then keep an eye out on E4 as they usually premier it on UK television.

Happy Birthday/London Fun

They say Birthday's aren't much fun as you get older, I couldn't disagree more!
I was spoilt rotten this year, and my other half really pulled all the stops out to ensure my birthday was so good.
I arrived in London on the Friday and as soon as I checked in I hit Oxford Street, I literally shopped until I dropped. I love shopping in London, the variety of shops is amazing there and I love getting things that I cant find locally here.

Saturday morning I woke up to my lovely straighteners which I featured in a post of their own yesterday, We headed out to Covent Garden I love it there, we saw the wonderful artwork there by British artist Alex Chinneck he's created an illusion of art that replicates the piazza building in Covent Garden.
We then headed to the very quaint BB Bakery in Covent Garden for afternoon Tea, absolutely delicious and such good value for money. My other half then whisked me off to Harrods for some Birthday shopping, I will be doing a separate post on the shoes but yes I finally own a pair of Louboutins, I think my face says it all in the picture outside the boutique.
My birthday was topped off with a trip to the Palladium theatre to watch Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance, fantastic show, loved every minute.

Sunday we hired the Barclays bikes and cycled around the city on our own sightseeing tour, it was great fun and was a really nice way of exploring London.

London/May 2014

Those of you who follow me on Instagram thank you for all your likes and comments on my pictures over this weekend.

I went to London as I booked tickets to see Katy Perry at the O2, nothing else to say about the night really other than AMAZING. If you get the chance to watch it, go, it was absolutely fantastic.

What else to do in London, well shopping for one, and you know I don't need any excuses!

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy, luckily for us the weather held out all weekend too.
We stayed at the Hilton Canary Wharf, look at our beautiful hotel room
And just look at the view we had from our room window.....
Friday afternoon we headed to Oxford Street, of course I had to hit VS and Selfridge's, I really liked the 'Hello Beautiful' sign above the doors of Selfridge's.
Saturday morning Westfield just a couple of tube stops away meant a day of retail therapy, I mentioned my Gok Wan outfits the other day and promised I'd feature it, well here it is...
I teamed it up with some cute Primark floral flip flops and my trusty Mulberry handbag, I also threw in my beautiful Peach Bellini necklace from The Jewel Shack the colours match the pastel hues in this outfit so well, and my lipstick was my trusty old Snob from MAC.
Saturday night meant getting glammed up, my fave! I wore a simple black cami top and my floral print skirt, I picked up the barely there sandals from River Island I added my Swarovski jewellery and my Ted Baker clutch to finish the outfit.
Sunday meant for some more sight seeing and a trip to Covent Garden
We went to Leicester square in the evening and went to the Five Guys burger bar, it's a huge chain that's really popular in the US I can see why the burgers were absolutely delicious! I had the veggie one and my boyfriend had the standard cheeseburger
The chips are all hand cooked in peanut oil, not fried, it really was yummy.
A few cocktails later...
My evening outfits were quite similar I'm really into my printed skirts at the moment and teamed up with a plain cami they are so versatile.

My other half and I took to taking lift selfies, so funny!

I LOVE London, we've booked to go back for my birthday and though it's months away I cannot wait, a certain Mr Kors might just be in the horizon for me this birthday ;)
