KISS/Looks So Natural Lashes

So what sets these lashes apart from all the others out there?
Tapered ends! Tapering the ends makes for a much softer and lighter look, great if you love the false lash effect but you aren't so keen on the 'false' look, and at under £5 a pair you cant go wrong.

Even in the tray the look so fluffy and light, and they are so lightweight on your eyes you literally forget they are even there. The fact they are so fluffy means they blend in really well, all I applied before hand was a slick of eye liner along the lash line, and mascara to my bottom lashes.
Exclusive to Boots stores nationwide, or shop the collection on their website at Boots.com each pair comes complete with a storage tray and glue so you've got all you need for perfect peepers. I know I'll be reaching for these for all occasions! Cant wait to check out the other sets in the collection.

Pantene Pro Expert/Advanced Keratin Repair Collection

I'd never look twice at Pantene usually but of course when I'm sent a product to try and opinions must be pushed aside to test the products in hand.

The last time I used Pantene was probably about 10 years ago, and I cant ever remember it doing much to tame my frizzy dry locks.

The Expert Collections from Pantene* target different hair concerns, I've been reviewing the Advanced Keratin Repair Collection over the last few weeks and I have to say I haven't put the products down.
A range that's designed to reverse two years of damage in just 2 minutes.

I've been using the shampoo and conditioner, and the intensive treatment mask these products are designed to wrap your hair with a protective layer, it leaves it super soft and shiny and I had loads of people asking if I'd been to the salon after using this stuff!

The range also includes a spilt end protector which seals all those pesky split ends, I only use this on the very end of my hair and it doesn't make it feel weighed down by product at all.

If your looking for a haircare range to combat dryness, frizziness or just to give your lack lustre locks a boost then give this a go, it's currently on offer in Boots 3 for 2 and If I had to recommend 2 3 products I'd advise you to go for the shampoo, the intensive mask, and the split end fuser.

For a high street product this actually works really well, and it smells lovely.
Shop the products at Boots.com with prices starting from £5.99.

Christian Louboutin Beauté/Nail Polish Launch

It all started back in 1992 when the iconic red sole was actually created using a nail polish, rumoured to be revlon, after sketching a shoe he adored on paper Christian Louboutin felt something was missing, noticing his assistant painting her nails he grabbed the polish and added the red sole, and that was it, the red sole as we know and love it today was born!

The cult product in this whole collection is of course the trademark rouge, which is the exact shade of red that's on the sole of the iconic shoes. Each bottle is designed to mimic a crystal and each lid is designed to be like a stiletto, the polish does look like its floating inside creating a black to red ombre effect, just like the classic red and black combination.
The cap is designed on the Ballerina Ultima Heel which was part of a collab with David Lynch, each polish is designed to be an object of art and design, and the rouge as it stands taller than all the others is a must have for your dresser.

Mani Madness! Shoes with nail shapes on them sit alongside this collection.

The collection has 3 different elements to it:
The Pops Collection features intense bright pops of colour with a silver cap.
The Noirs are intense black, browns & greens with a gunmetal lid.
The Nudes Collection are all soft creme nudes finished with a rose gold cap

The rouge polish stands alone from the collections and all feature an even taller gloss black stiletto inspired lid. You wont find the polishes in the beauty halls at Harrods, they'll be displayed amongst the exclusive capsule shoe collection that's being released along side them.

Rich and highly pigmented the polish is said to be as strong as 20 layers of polish after just 2 coats!
Long lasting, chip free and free from any nasties, is it worth the £36 a bottle price tag?

The rouge has launched now, shortly to follow in August will be the Pops, The Noirs, and The Nudes and a top coat and base coat.

August the 14th launches in Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Louboutin Boutiques.

From a man who claims to prefer artificial or 'created' beauty as apposed to natural will you be buying into this collection?

I am PRAYING lipstick will be next....

Feature Perfect/Semi Permanent Make Up

I finally took the plunge!
I have just had my eyebrows redesigned and applied using semi permanent make up, by the amazingly talented Julie of Feature Perfect here in Plymouth.

I'm really self concious of my eyes, I think I have really droopy eyelids and dark shadows around them, so I had hopes that by framing my eyes it would give me a more wide awake look.

I reviewed for Julie a couple of years ago as she did my friend's brows, Julie has however gone solo since I did the last review and her new studio is impressive! If you missed my last post check it out right here

I have known Julie for a few years now, she was the lady I went to for my tattoo removal, she is a lovely lady she makes you feel at ease and really gets what you want from your treatment. She is well known for her rappor with all her clients.

Julie trained in Harley Street at the London Medical Centre along with one of the top specialists Deborah Robson, this adds to Julie's lengthy list of qualifications and training in
FAME (Facial Aesthetic Micro Enhancement) she's a skilled artist and has been working in the beauty industry for 10 years.

Prior to my arrival at the studio I received a very detailed letter from Julie, advising me of exactly what to expect, along with a patch test of pigment and some anesthetic which I was advised to apply before my treatment. Julie really has though of everything, even down to reassuring you with your upcoming appointment. I understand that many people may have some trepidation about semi permanent make up as it involves needles, but honestly I promise you this is a beautiful and very relaxing treatment, I could have fallen asleep!

Super modern, and very clean, the studio makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in the door, the studio has a real luxe feel to it, you can tell your in a quality establishment, and in such an unregulated industry this is such a huge reassurance. Julie has her certificates displayed on the wall and everything is sterile.

I was really surprised at how technical the whole process is, don't be fooled into thinking that eyebrows are one size or shape fits all, because you couldn't be more wrong!
Julie's walls are filled with frames showing before and afters or clients brows, and the various techniques and effects she can create are amazing.
It's not easy designing your brow shape when you have so many options, but don't be put off Julie helps every step of the way.

Everything is drawn to precision, she uses measuring tools to give you the symmetrical brows you've always longed for.
My friend came along as she was having her brows revamped too, it gave me a great opportunity to snap some of the measuring and treatment in action....

Personally I looked through Julie's previous work to get an idea of what I wanted, and after the initial consultation and a bit of measuring she will draw an initial shape on you, this gives such a good visual of how the end results will look, once Julie has drawn them in she will hand you a mirror and asks for your initial reaction, personally the end of mine were a bit too curved for me and after taking a few snaps with the camera and looking back over them Julie made some adjustments until I was 100% happy with how they looked.

My colour match was perfect to my natural brow/hair colour, Julie will customise something for you if there isn't a perfect match, and with such a wide spectrum of colours, my shade is 'Billion Dollar Brown' pure coincidence of course, although I feel the name matches me perfectly!

So once you've talked brows, had some measuring and drawing done, and a colour match it's treatment time, I couldn't wait to get my brows started. Julie explained that the first few strokes with the needle may feel a little scratchy and I can honestly say the only area you may feel it is across your brow bone, but it doesn't hurt it just feels a little hot, after applying the outline of the brow shape Julie then applies another layer of anesthetic across the brow and she then moves onto the next one giving the anesthetic time to work.

The feeling compares to having your brows combed through with a brow brush, it's so relaxing it really does feel lovely, this is the ultimate in luxury treatments, very advanced and will be like nothing you've ever had before.

The process takes around 90 mins, and the first stage of your brow treatment is done in 2 parts, the first to get your outline and shape set, and the second to re colour any pigment loss, Julie has advised some people loose up to 80% of the colour as your body naturally rejects it, so it's definitely a 2 part process.

You usually book in before you leave and you are advised to come back within 4-6 weeks for your touch up, your brows do heal up pretty quickly but it's vital you listen to the after care advice because you need to remember there is always a risk of an infection if you don't care for your new brows properly. So no heat or moisture, and take care when washing your hair too, keeping hair off them too, and most importantly no exercise for 48 hours after!

Julie advised that after the treatment they may feel a little tender but a few hours on I couldn't feel anything, some people compare the after feeling on your skin to being sunburnt, but this goes by the next day so you have no real down time.
The morning after you wake up and forget you had them done, it is amazing to wake up with perfect brows when the rest of your face is au naturel.

So here are my amazing new brows, I hope you'll agree that the effect they have given my eyes , making them more lifted and open. I went for the brush stroke effect on my brows, to create a more natural look, it almost mimics the effect of hair filling gaps and creating definition and volume. Please be aware they will not stay this dark as the pigment fades out a bit after treatment.
Here are my friends brows, she went for the solid block effect as she wanted the fake look, not to everyone's taste but they are based on how she defined her brows on a daily basis so she was over the moon with them.

We had a really lovely girly night of pampering, here are our 'Feature Perfect' brows together.....

Wag Walls/Add Some Sparkle To Your Life

I have waited all my life for my own dressing room, and now I have it!

Wag Walls is a luxury home interior design company bringing you the very best in glitter wall coverings* and mirror's for your home. A small family run business means you'll be looked after, the lovely Susie was so helpful and really good at communicating with me, she's a great help if you need help with measurements too!

I knew when I was designing my home interior that I wanted Wag Walls on 2 of my main walls as a feature, I opted for the Gunmetal Grey Grey Glitter for my front room and for my dressing room I went for the Grey Glimmer. I was so excited when my Wag Walls arrived, pictures really do it no justice, this stuff is seriously sparkly, yet it doesn't shed glitter as you'd expect when it's on the wall.

Wag Walls is sold by the meter and you can expect to pay anything from £19 for the Sparkle Glitter range, which is ultra fine glitter and would probably be best for you if you wanted something a little less bling, just a hint of sparkle.

Glimmer Glitter is £23 a meter and is finished with some larger glitter pieces meaning the light really twinkles off this stuff, this is the one in my dressing room, in the Grey Glimmer shade.

Boutique Glitter £26 a meter has a hint of holographic glitter sprinkled throughout to add some extra sparkle.

Luxury/Bling Glitter is £34 a meter and is serious sparkle, small, large, disc and hexagonal shapes all make up the sparkle on this range. This is the sparkliest one in the range and is not for those who want to go unnoticed!

I added offcuts of both my Wag Wall wall covering under the sheets of glass on my dressing table and along my chest of drawers, the effect is fabulous and loads of people have said how much they love it.

Just to give you an idea the Wag Walls I needed for my chimney breasts were 4 meters and gave me plenty to cover both, but always ask Susie for measurement help, and I'd recommend getting a professional to hang your Wag Walls, leave it to the experts!

Check out the full range and the gallery pictures right now on the Wag Walls Website I can promise you, you'll need this in your life!
Like Wagwalls on Facebook to keep up to date and win stuff too!

*Part sponsored post, although I was given a very generous discount on my Wagwalls this has in no way influenced my review, i love my Wagwalls and it's worth the money if your thinking of buying it! Thank you Susie xxx

A New Beginning.....

Thank you to all my lovely followers who have been following the build of my new house, we moved in nearly 2 weeks ago now and I suddenly realised I hadn't blogged my house!

This post is pic heavy but I think this is the only way of sharing the journey with you.
The house was built in the 1920's-30's and to say it needed bringing into modern times is an understatement, the building company are amazing and I couldn't have imagined it looking any better, we are really proud of our new place and it certainly feels like home.

I have been asked by lots of you to do some home decor posts so i'll get these up soon for you :)
