Victorias Secret Fashion Show/London 2014

I look forward to this every December and this year I'm extra excited, following the Victoria's Secret stores opening here in the UK they are bringing the iconic show to Earls Court, London. Meaning it's being held outside of America for only the second time ever, could this be the start of things to come?

As soon as I heard the news I was scouring the internet for a ticket, if you've ever watched the show you'll understand you have to be a 'somebody' to get in to the event, or at least have lots of money, and at just under £10.000 a ticket it's safe to say I wont be going.

If you've never seen the show before you'll be in for a real treat, each year is themed and the outfits are out of this world and generally the longest standing angels have the biggest wings on the runway or they wear the most expensive things, this year being no exception as we are set to see Adriana Lima &Alessandro Ambrosia strutting down the catwalk in the $2 million Dream Angels Fantasy Bra, not one but two of them have been created and they're said to showcase VS over the years.

I've included the full show from last year, if you haven't watched it do so now, you will see why I look forward to it every year!

I've managed to get my hands on a sneak peek of this years costumes, the show opening in true style of 'Gilded Angels' featuring the models adorned in gold.

Exotic Traveller is bound to be a beautiful one, I can imagine bright fabrics and lots of jewels for this one!

Angel Ball is rumoured to be a glamorous take on the famous Tux, adding the eye masks adds a real touch of feminine glamour.

Fairy Tale is probably the one I'm most excited about, I know the outfit in this sketch has been given ALOT of added sparkle by Swarovski, and I cant wait to see this one, it's being worn by British model Lily Donaldson and features 150.000 crystals.

Dream Girl channels a cute pom pom filled feminine look that comes straight from the boudoir!

University Of Pink this is always one of my fave sections in the show it's always fun, colourful, and playful and it's full of the VS PINK goodies.

The show includes live performances as the models work the runway and this year Taylor Swift returns for a second time, the lovely Ed Sheeran, The Hoozier and Ariana Grande.

Needless to say I cannot wait to watch, if you cant get CBS at home then keep an eye out on E4 as they usually premier it on UK television.

This beautiful pastel aqua blue shade is perfect for this time of year and the glitter overlay adds a little sparkle. This is Mint Convertible by Creative and it's one of my new fave shades.

Keep an eye out for my Christmas nails next month, I'm thinking lots of red and a reindeer....

Dermalogica/Normal to Oily Skin Kit Trial

Time to take the plunge and see what all the hype is about.
I know Dermalogica has been around for a long time and my theory behind giving it a go is that the millions of people who use it worldwide cant be wrong. I've used the Body Shop Seaweed Range for years now and although its OK, it's just that, it works well but I still get really fed up with my monthly breakouts.

I suffer with PCOS and I think on the whole I am very lucky to have such good skin, I know many women who suffer with this somewhat complicated condition and they suffer terrible acne, so I almost feel bad for complaining but my skin does get me down when it flares up.

I'm giving this skin kit a go for the next 4 weeks and I'll keep a diary of how my skin looks over the course of a typical month, it might not be pretty, it might be great, only time will tell, I'll update you with the results just before Christmas.

If you'd like to join in my trial head over to Dermalogica UK Store and pick up your very own skin care kit.

Check back in a few weeks to see how I get on, I used my products last night and this morning and I have to say it felt like I'd had a spa facial, the products feel lovely on the skin.

I'm trialling the Normal/Oily kit and it consists of:
Special Cleansing Gel, Multi Active Toner, Active Moist, Skin Prep Scrub and the Total Eye Care Cream, there are also samples of the mask and the pre cleanse so I'll give these a go as advised great value for under £25, and these sizes will be perfect for my gym bag so fingers crossed it works!

Here's to clear skin for Christmas.

Vogue Hair Plymouth/Ombre Locks

I've had the same hair for years and I've always chosen to have my hair relaxed over having it coloured, but lately I've been feeling fed up with being plain old brown so I felt it was time for a change.

I've been going to my stylist Adel for years now and she's always done a fabulous job at making my locks poker straight and keeping the curls at bay, I messaged her ahead of my latest appointment and stressed my interest for a new do.
Adel has a real eye for styles, she will always be honest and say if she thinks something will suit you or not, she was the brains behind my fringe last year, and I loved that. This time I was looking to branch out into a hint of colour,

I was scared and excited as my appointment got closer, but I knew I was in safe hands, I had my relaxer treatment done first and then Adel mixed this little bowl of magic up, I knew there was no turning back now!

As soon as the foils were off I couldn't wait to see what my hair looked like, and I wasn't disappointed....

I LOVE the colour, it's a gorgeous caramel tone that'll surely warm my complexion up in the cold winter months, I've had so many compliments on it I am really pleased with my first taster into the world of salon colouring.

A couple of before & after shots.....

If you live in or around the Plymouth area I'd highly recommend Vogue Hair, a well established beauty salon that's been thriving in the the city centre over the past 5 years.
The thing I really love about Vogue is that there is no intimidation and the atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming, I'm sure you've all visited a salon where you've been made to feel out of place or like you have to go in dressed up for a night out just to feel that you fit in, it's nothing like that at Vogue.

The decor is lovely and modern and the salon has a fresh and clean feel.

The Manager Kelly has a great rapport with all the customers and the stylists are a real asset to her, including Adel who's a hair genius.

If you fancy giving my ombre locks a go, never attempt to do it at home or out of a box, you wont get results like these, get professional advice from your own stylist or pop into Vogue and have a chat to the ladies there for more advice.

They cover all aspects of hair including extensions and Vogue are the only salon in and around Plymouth to offer hair relaxation on both European & Afro hair at a very competitive price. They also do fab up-do's for any special occasion events or if you just fancy a restyle, trim or a good old fashioned blow dry then pop in.

You can contact Vogue Hair on 01752 600205 or follow them to keep up to date with all the offers and news on the Vogue Hair & Nails Facebook Page

Vogue have a fab offer running on Groupon at the moment, check it out by clicking here

I'd love to say a HUGE thank you to Adel & Kelly at Vogue for allowing me to feature them on my blog.

The design is in keeping with all the Christmas gifts from Benefit this year, sweet shop, candy filled, girlie fun and goodness.
As with anything Benefit the quality is clear to see with this calender, its really big and is presented really nicely, It's Value is around £110 for all the mini treats inside so I cant wait to open it up.
I got the Mr to take a snap of me holding it to try and give you an idea of the size.
I'll be posting up the daily treats over on my Instagram so please make sure your following me on there, link is just under my personal photograph on the right of my page.
