My Birthday Celebrations!

Last week I turned 27, and as this was to be my first birthday as a single gal in years I was dreading it, I was sad at the thought of waking up on the day without my ex and that I wouldn't feel happy like I did when he made an effort to make my day special.

Well I am pleased to report I couldn't have been more wrong!!

What an amazing birthday, one I wont forget in a hurry.

Upon coming into work I had cards waiting for me, and a cute little plant... these little thoughts were enough to make me feel that my day was going to be special after all.

My actual day of birth was Thursday the 11th of October, after returning home to work my housemates had gone to a huge effort for me...

In addition to these lovely gestures, my phone had been going crazy all day, and I was definitely feeling the love with a huge amount of birthday messages on my Facebook & Twitter, thank you to all of you for thinking of me on my special day :)

Followed by a Chinese for tea on the Thursday night, and the standard bottle of wine of course I was well in birthday mode :) and the nights out hadn't even arrived yet...

And those of you who know me well will know that my Hello Kitty cake was the perfect ending to the evening :) 

After getting my Friday at work outta the way, It was time to party! I had 2 nights out to look forward to, the one on Friday night was a booze cruise to celebrate someone else's birthday, so double celebration, and lets just say I had the BEST night ever...here are some pictures from the night..

The booze cruise was 4 hours of fun & then we all hit the town after, It was so good to let my hair down and party, I definitley needed it!

After only a couple hours sleep I woke up the next day and the thought of having to go out the same evening was a little cringeworthy! Never the less, being a blogger I have the best in cosmetics to hide a multitude of sins, so at 7 in the evening I jumped in the shower and poured out another drink...

After an hour of prepping I was ready for my night out with my Plymouth friends...

Sunday was a day of rest for me, after having around 5 hours sleep all weekend it was a perfect chance to relax in my Hello Kitty onesie a birthday present from my wife Amanda :)

Safe to say my birthday was AWESOME! Thank you to all of you for making me feel so loved and liked on the day, I will never forget the efforts you went to.

E-Raze Non Laser Tattoo Removal (not good if your squeemish)!

 
Regular followers of my blog will know that following my recent relationship split I had to look into option for removing the permanent declaration I had made to my ex when i had this tattoo on my body.

So my options were, a cover up, resulting in me needing something bigger & darker to cover it up, or laser removal, at a costly price in comparison to what I originally paid to get it done. 

I stumbled across E-Raze Non Laser Removal, and after looking into it and pricing it up I decided to go for it, I was terrified, especially when I received the tube of numbing cream to apply before hand.

The day of my appointment arrived, I turned up to with my Mum & the bestest Amanda in tow for moral support, I am such a wimp! 

I don't really know what I expected, except pain!! 

The lady performing the treatment explained exactly what was going to happen, using a special liquid called Rejuvi, she tattooed over my original tattoo. 

The Rejuvi liquid works by forming a hard crust over the tattoo to which it is applied, and pulls all the ink to the surface, dragging the pigment to the surface. The key to this treatment working is to keep the crust dry & also to not pick at it!! The crust comes off in 10-14 days and should remove most of the tattoos pigment with it.

The e-raze Rejuvi system is a unique method of tattoo ink extraction which is designed to completely remove your tattoo ink pigments from the body. The treatment has been extensively researched, developed and tested for over ten years, and in use worldwide for over eight years.

The treatment utilizes similar methods as having the original tattoo. The removal formula is delivered to the ink using a tattoo or permanent make-up machine, therefore the treatment can only be performed by a trained tattoo or permanent make-up artist or medical professional. The extraction cream is specifically designed to blend with and capture the original tattoo ink.

The formula then forms into a thicker substance which the skin easily pushes out taking the captured tattoo ink with it. A number of treatments are normally required to completely remove a tattoo. After the treatment course is finished the skin should return to its natural state over a period of months*. There are numerous benifits to this method of removal compared to other methods. for more detailed technical information on the remover click here.

The e-raze treatment is substantially less painful than other removal methods and the treatment course and subsequent tattoo removal is typically much faster and more effective than laser removal options, including effective removal of all tattoo colours.

The e-raze system is suitable and effective on both professional, home made tattoos and permanent make-up and on most areas of the body apart from sensitive areas near the eyes or areas where high levels of moisture occur (where special aftercare considerations may be required). The treatment is not colour selective (unlike laser) and acts on all colour pigments equally.

Here is my tattoo straight after my removal...

It looks really red around the area, this is purely due to the skin being manipulated slightly during treatment. You can see the Rejuvi liquid has formed a layer on the tattoo and the black you can see in the layer is the tattoo pigment coming to the surface. 

I will keep you updated on the progress of my removal, as I cant wait to see the results!

I am sorry for the gross pictures, I know they aren't pretty, I just hope the pain and scabbing is worth it!

I have previously reviewed Naked products before, and as I am now living in a girly house I thought I would ask my housemate to review Naked's Shampoo & Conditioner* 

These hair treats are so reasonably priced, just £3.98 each and for that price your buying the most natural and caring goodies for your hair. 

The Naked Shine range is designed for normal to dry hair, and is full of yummy marshmallow goodness. My housemate loved these and said they left her hair feeling squeaky clean, removing all the build up from her hair products. 

Some ingredients that we often try to avoid are nowhere to be seen, including sulphates, parabens and petrochemicals. 

The shampoo is honey and mallow and instead of using detergents they use plant based cleansers to clean and hydrate your hair.

The company is environmentally conscious but also have a sense of humour – “we don’t believe in testing our ingredients on Bambi, Lassie or Skippy” as an example.

Moving on to the conditioner, it’s got buttermilk (mm mm) and green tea. You know green tea has antioxidants and the two ingredients combined give you shine and improved manageability.

Pay Day Haul

Payday hasn't been this good in a long time for me, so i decided to do what us girls do best and hit the shops, there really is no better cure than retail therapy!

 I had seen these advertised on tele recently & to be honest I don't usually go much on Maybelline Mascara, but this has actually impressed, the big brush and non clump formula work really well with out the need for an eyelash curler, and teamed with the new Master Smoky Eye Pencil it gives a really nice smoky eye effect when used together.

I hit the MAC counter, as I haven't treated myself in so long, and got this gorgeous warm nude, perfect for autumn shade lipstick, It's from the lustre range and the shade is Patisserie, it's stunning! 

 

And finally one of my fave clothing purchases of the day is my super cute nautical style peplum blazer, just £13 from Primarni (Primark) got to love the place! 

 

I will be doing full reviews on my lippie and eye make up, so keep an eye out for those.

Lady Gaga Fame Perfume

I love perfume, I literally cant get enough of the stuff. 

It was pay day on Friday, which meant only one thing, time to treat myself to a new scent. 

Being quirky, weird and all round a bit strange I honestly thought Lady Gaga's perfume would smell rank, but I couldn't have been more wrong. 

The detail on the bottle, not to mention the fact that this perfume is the worlds first black liquid, although it sprays clear when airborne, this stuff is my new fave!

MUA New Products

Afternoon beautiful people! 

I wanted to share my latest beauty & body purchases with you all. 

As some of you will know I have just recently gone through a break up :( very sad times, however I am now in a position where I have spare pennies to treat myself, and to be honest it couldn't have come at a better time! I am very fortunate being a blogger in that I don't often have to purchase many beauty products, so I popped into town and had a browse. 

I have featured MUA quite regularly on my blog, and for beautiful gals on a budget look no further because make up starts from just £1! And on the whole their products are fab! 

These are all new lines to the MUA Collection & they have some amazing offers on. 

So this is what I picked up in Superdrug...

 MUA have collaborated with the gorgeous Alexanda Burke, the Lip Boom is a 4 in 1 lipstick/gloss, and is a fab way of making your smackers look gorgeous. This costs just £3 and its gorgeous, it has a really sweet smell too. The only down side is that it doesn't have much staying power, and I had to keep re applying all evening. 

These are available in 8 different shades, I went for OK.com. Here is a couple of swatches for you to see the gorgeous colour...

The MUA Eye Primer retails at £2.50, and holds your shadow in place whilst making the colour really pop, I have used lots of different primers and I do find it a little thin on the lids but it does a good job for the money.

 

 I also got the MUA Mosaic Bronzer, it's super cute! It has several different tones in the palette and for £2.50 its a barg! 

  

The last MUA product I got was this Immaculate Collection which retails at £8, however if you spend £8 or more on MUA in Superdrug at the moment you get this Immaculate Pallete FREE! 

MUA Pro's fantastic collection of 24 highly pigmented with both matte and shimmer finish to suit every tone and taste. This must have beauty bargain offers ladies a unique palette containing a selection of the hottest new A/W fashion forward eye shadows as well some of MUA’s best selling much loved shades from brown shimmer tones to nude and natural hues.

Comes complete with sponge applicator.

 It was hard to capture the highly pigmented shades but I think you'll agree these are all beautiful!
