I really enjoy reading other bloggers tag posts, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon, here are my beauty blogger tag questions & answers, hope you enjoy reading them!
What makes being a beauty blogger so much fun?
I am so passionate about being a beauty blogger, I truly take pride in writing my reviews and photographing items as well as putting them to the test.
Being a total girlie girl I have always been sucked into the hype of beauty products and the results they promise only to invest and realise I have wasted money, it's a horrible feeling when something
just doesn't work, or make you feel how you hoped it would, so I really enjoy finding the products out there that really deliver results and products that are worth the investment.
And then sharing them via my blog!
Getting the products in the post is always a real treat but not all my products are PR samples I do spend my own money on some of the products I review.
What have you learnt from becoming a beauty blogger?
I have learnt that my opinion really matters to some of you!
I feel flattered getting your emails and tweets etc asking where I bought certain things from and regarding your make up and hair dilemmas.
I really appreciate every single one of my readers and love blogging for you all.
Have you changed anything since being a beauty blogger?
I have changed in general since becoming a blogger, I find I take loads more pictures of my self (for the make up visuals) I also have changed my beauty regime several times & fallen in love with some fab products that I would never have known about if it wasn't for blogging.
What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?
The best advice I can give a new blogger is to...be honest!
A lot of companies have approached me and mentioned my honest writing style and then asked me to review a product for them, so clearly this works.
You must be passionate and really into what you are blogging about. And be prepared to put in lots of time! I work full time and blog and at times it feels like I never get a break, but I love it!
What are your top 5 make up must have products?
This is such a hard question, but if I must choose here are my must have products:
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
I have used this liner for about 8/9 years and would never buy another brand now, this stuff glides on, it's so smooth and lasts
forever, it's waterproof so has real staying power & at just £15 it will last a good 6 months so I think it's a real barg.
I buy mine in House Of Fraser, but it will be available at any Urban Decay counter.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco
I discovered Double Wear last year, and since then I haven't looked back. I really think the foundation of your make up should be an investment, skimp on cost elsewhere because you need a flawless base to work with. I always apply with my Real Techniques Face Brush for a flawless finish & I love it's staying power & matte finish. £26.50 from Estee Lauder counters nationwide.
Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara in Black
This is a great 'all rounder' mascara, really lasts and the comb brush prevents clumps but isn't too big so it's really easy to apply. I often get asked if I have false lashes on when I wear this stuff, so it must be good! Priced at around £10 per tube it is pricey, but you get what you pay for, available at Max Factor counters nationwide.
Benefit Porefessional Primer
I have strayed to a few different primers in my time, but I keep going back to this one.
A gorgeous smooth and silky primer, that provides a pore blurring, line filling, and foundation grabbing base for your foundation. £23.50 from Benefit counters, it is pricey but a tube will last you a few months.
Christian Eyebrow Palette
I have been hooked on this stuff since it launched last year, and using my palette every day it is still going strong. Defined eyebrows are so on trend, long gone are those tadpole brows (makes me cringe just at the thought i used to hae them) the Christian palette will fill in gaps if you are trying to grow your brows out, and it comes with stencils so you can create perfectly defined brows in seconds. I got my palette from lookfantastic.com and it was around £20.
Loved writing this tag post for you, hope you enjoyed reading it :)
